Evony: Age II - Workshop

The workshop in Evony Age II now allows you to create and upgrade gear for your hero. On top of meeting building requirements you'll also need items such as Wood, Iron Ore, Thorough Breds, Gemstones, and Fabric.

These are NOT the same as the resources you produce. Thus far it looks like the only way to get them is to purchase them in the shop. Like medal boxes you buy them as chests (fabric box, wood box, iron ore box, gemstone box, and riding rein). Each chest gives you 2-4 when applied.

More to come..

Evony: Age II - Forge & Gems

The forge in Evony: Age II allows you to add gems to your gear (See gear info here). The gems (not gemstones) you can add are Rubies, Sapphires, Topazes and go from level 1-10.

To acquire these gems you have to purchase them in the shop (does anyone know if you can get these any other way?). Like medals they come in chests. Each chest offers you 1-2 of each type of gem. A Wooden Chest that offers level 1-3 gems, Bronze Chest offers level 4-6 gems, and Royal Chest which offers level 7-9 gems.

Sapphire Gem: Offers bonus intelligence attributes to hero
Ruby Gem: Offers bonus attack attributes to hero
Topaz Gem: Offers bonus politic attributes to hero.

Level of Gems: The level of the gem offers (level x 2) - 1 bonus points to their respective categories. For example, a level 2 sapphire adds 3 (2x2-1=3) bonus intel attribute points to your hero.

BONUS ATTRIBUTES
Level 1 GEM: +1 Attribute
Level 2 GEM: +3 Attribute
Level 3 GEM: +5 Attribute
Level 4 GEM: +7 Attribute
Level 5 GEM: +9 Attribute
Level 6 GEM: +11 Attribute
Level 7 GEM: +13 Attribute
Level 8 GEM: +15 Attribute
Level 9 GEM: +17 Attribute

You can also go to the advanced gem smelting tab of the forge and smelt two equal level gems into a higher one.

NOTES
You can only inlay a gem that is the same level as the gear you are adding it to. For example I can only apply a level 1 gem to a level 1 weaponry gear.

You can inlay the same gem on multiple items provided they meet the level requirement

Evony: Age II - Your Thoughts

After playing the new Evony Age II we've concluded that there is a lot more you can do now and the game is much more fun than the original. I give it a 7.5 out of 10 for now!

If you've had a chance to play the new Evony: Age II beta we'd love to hear what you think! Post a comment and let us know your opinions.

Evony: Age II - Hero Gear

In Evony Age II you can equip your heroes with gear. Each gear adds a certain amount of bonus attribute to your hero (intel, politics, attack) when your hero is armed with it.

USING THE GEAR
To arm your hero, go to your feasting hall and click on the hero you want to arm. You'll see 16 slots where you can arm your hero. You can arm items for: head, neck, shoulders, chest, back, gauntlets, belts, charm (2), ring (2), feet, weaponry, shield, legs, and mount.

When you arm your hero you can choose which attribute you want the gear's bonus to apply to. For example, I armed my hero with a ring and a shield and I chose politics focus for both. My hero now has +2 bonus politic attributes.

With the addition of the forge you can further upgrade each gear. For example if I add a level 1 ruby to my level 1 weaponry it would give the item +1 attack for the level ruby on top of the +1 bonus for the level 1 weaponry. So when I arm my hero I'd want to choose an attack focus because that item with a ruby would add +2 to attack (but only +1 politic or +1 intel).

NOTES
Your hero can only be equipped after they are level 10 or higher. Every 10 levels you can equip a higher level gear. For example at level 10+ you can equip level 1 gear, at level 20+ you can equip level 2 gear, etc.

LEVEL 10-19 HERO: Level 1 Gear
LEVEL 20-29 HERO: Level 2 Gear
LEVEL 30-39 HERO: Level 3 Gear
LEVEL 40-49 HERO: Level 4 Gear
LEVEL 50-59 HERO: Level 5 Gear
LEVEL 60-69 HERO: Level 6 Gear
LEVEL 70-79 HERO: Level 7 Gear
LEVEL 80-89 HERO: Level 8 Gear
LEVEL 90-99 HERO: Level 9 Gear
LEVEL 100+ HERO: Level 10 Gear

Once you have a technology researched you can apply it to all your heroes provided they meet the level requirement. For example if I research level 1 weaponry I can arm BOTH my level 15 and level 12 hero with it.

Evony: Age II - Colonization

Colonization is a new form of attack in the new Evony: Age II. In order to colonize someone you must be a Baronet.

Colonizing is when you make someone a vassal of yours, you get a percentage of everything they produce. They can at some point, rise up against you.
Thanks Abracax

After you run an "Colonize" mission on a city, if you are successful in your attack you enter a "colonization period". From our experience this is roughly 5 hours. After the colonization period, if the player does not uprise against you, the city becomes your colony.

To perform actions on your colony, click on "City Overview" of the city you colonized with and click on "Valleys" and choose the "Colonies" tab. Click view on the colony you wish to perform an action on and you should see a bunch of buttons. They are as follows:
+ Tax Imposition
+ Disarmament
+ Food Levy
+ Draft
+ Pop. Redeployment
+ Sow Discord
+ Abandon: Abandons the colony.

Suzerain
When you click on a city (yours or another player's) you'll see a Suzerain now as well. If a city is colonized by someone the suzerain shows you who the colonizing lord is.

HOW TO BECOME UNCOLONIZED
When you are colonized you can start an uprising to become uncolonized. To do this, go to the city that has been colonized and click on your town hall. Under the valleys tab click on the "Uprising" button.

YOu may also go to the "Quests" button and go to "Commission Quest". From there you can issue an anti-colonization quest for other players to help you get rid of the offender. You have to post up a reward for this.

Evony: Age II - Stratagem's

Stratagem's are a new feature in Evony: Age II. They are basically like spells you can use on your city (for defense) or on other players' cities (for offense). These can make a huge difference in battle both on offense and on defense. It looks like the only way to get them right now is to purchase them in the shop though.

Defensive Stratagem's

Offensive Stratagem's

Evony: Age II - New Additions

Now information on what you really want to know! New additions that are in Evony: Age II!

GAMEPLAY
Options on your Cities
While in the map view, when you click on your city there is a new button called "Stratagem" that allows you to use different items. They appear to be defensive spell-like items you can use; basically it can alter what the enemy see on scouting reports, etc. If anyone has had any experience with these please post!
View Available Stratagem's

Options on other Cities
There is once again a stratagem button. Only this time the "spell" like items are offensive. More to come.. If anyone has had any experience with these please post!
View Available Stratagem's

There is also a champions button. Not sure what it does yet, but it looks like you can choose you own "champions".

There is also a declare war button now. If you want to fight a player one on one (e.g. your alliance is not at war with that player's alliance) You cannot attack him/her (only scout) UNLESS you first declare war on them. After declaring war you have to wait 8 hours before you can attack the person (also their city turns red to help you find it more easily on the map). War will last for 48 hours and only during this time can you attack the player. You will have to declare war again after the 48 hours is up.

Thanks to whoever left the comment

Suzerain
When you click on a city (yours or another player's) you'll see a Suzerain now as well. If a city is colonized by someone the suzerain shows you who the colonizing lord is.

Workshop Options
Now when you click on your workshop (or there is an easy access button on the interface) you can upgrade different gear (weaponry, mount training, ring craftin, etc.). What you can do with this gear is arm it on your hero. Each item add different benefits to your hero.

Forge Options
There are now two options in the forge. Advanced Blacksmithing and Advanced Gems Smelting. Advanced blacksmithing allows you to embed different level gems to different gear that adds additional attributes to it.
Gems & Forge Details

Advanced gem smelting allows you to combine two of the same level gems to form an even higher level gem. However there is a chance that the smelting fails in which case you get back a gem of the same level. For example smelting two level 1 rubies yields one level 2 ruby.

Hero Attributes
You can now arm your hero with different items, each item will improve different attributes of the hero. You can arm items for: head, neck, shoulders, chest, back, gauntlets, belts, charm (2), ring (2), feet, weaponry, shield, legs, and mount.

Rally Spot -> March: Colonize
You can choose to colonize as an operation now. Not sure what it does yet.

Rally Spot -> March: Preset Troops
You can now save 3 troop settings and recall it later on instead of having to manually type it in each time. This is great for farming, have a setting set to 500 ballistas and 400 transporters and you can easily use it later on! There is also an option to choose "last setting".

Rally Spot: Fugitive Camp
When you run out of food, instead of your military running away completely they now go to the "fugitive camp". This is like the medic camp where you have to "persuade" them before they leave permanently.

Rally Spot -> Medic Camp: Automatically Heal
There is a checkbox in the "Medic Camp" pop up called "Automatically Heal". Instead of having to remember to go back to your medic camp to heal your wounded soldiers, with this box checked it should do it by itself.

Feasting Hall: Hero Ransom
Now when you run out of gold in your city, instead of your hero running away he/she will be in the "Hero Ransom" tab. This allows you a certain amount of time to use medals/gold to lure him/her to return. Loyalty decreases over time though and when it reaches zero you can no longer get the hero back.

Inn: Folk Hearsay
You need your inn to be at level 5 to use this. You can pay 10 game cents to get the location of a historical figure, which is a hero with very high stats. Most of the ones available are located in lvl 10 NPC cities. Prices for various actions are as follows:
+ Refreshing the list costs 100 gold
+ Searching for heroes costs 1000 gold
+ Accepting the quest is free
+ Getting the coords costs 10 cents

Thanks to ~Shadowfire Omega~ for this information!

More City Slots
There are now 13 city slots. Whether you can actually have 13 cities is still to be confirmed.

QUESTS
Added Routine Quests
There are now four new categories of quests called "Queen/King", "Stratagem", "Achievement Accomplish", and "Uprising". More to come on these as we have more information.

Hero Quests
These quests involve donating allied forces (your military units), military material (resources), and military feat (medals). The reward for accomplishing these goals include a significant amount of prestige as well as good items (Mich scripts, truce agreements, adv city teleporters, etc).

Commission Quests
This is the last tab in the "Quests" page. Basically if lets you put up a reward (in game cents) for someone to act upon a city. Thus far only "anti-colonization" (i.e. attack/destroy) is available. You can also accept commissions issued by other players. You must accept a commission within 3 hours of it being issued.

Thanks to the anonymous person who posted this

NEW BUTTONS
Achieve Button
There is now an "achieve" button. It looks like if you reach certain achievements you get rewards.

Options Button
There is now a options button that allows you to set the level of animations you want to see, hide building levels, and edit browser headline. There is also a logout button here.

Logout Button
Located at the top next to the "Gifts" icon is a logout button now. It logs you out of the game.

MISC
Look & Feel
Look and feel has definitely been improved. Graphics are pretty good and are much smoother than in the original Evony game.

Zoom in Town/City Views
In the town and city views you can zoom in and out with your mouse wheel to see the nice details on the graphics. The town view has little people walking around in it.

Easy Truce - Thanks Revoltion
When you're out of beginner's protection, you can simply click the non-truce icon on the top right and change your status there.

Evony: Age II - Minor Additions

The following features are more or less the same as the original Evony with a few minor additions.

City Overview -> Production Tab: Now you can set the overall production level which will adjust all 4 production rates at once instead of having to do it one at a time.

Amulet: Look and feel of it has been updated and it seems to be faster and smoother than in the past.

Statistics: There is now a "Hall of Fame" button that shows the first 100 players to reach certain prestige levels and achieve each title as well as first 100 alliances to reach certain prestige levels. Everything else is the same in statistics.

Reports: There is a new tab called "Scout". Presumably it is where your scouting missions will show up. Previously this info showed up in the army tab.

Also in the reports are the option to turn off return reports so that you do not get a report when your army returns. You can also choose to "delete all" reports in a certain tab.
